In an effort to provide incentives for development projects, the City of Delavan established a 23-year Tax Increment Financing (TIF) District in 2011 that includes several areas of the city. Parameters have been established to entice private investment in the city?s primary focus - new residential development. In addition, incentives are in place for light industrial, commercial, and retail projects. As an added incentive, the city of Delavan has waived all permit fees including water sewer tap ons until 2017. These redevelopment plans aim to increase the city?s population, fortify the school district, improve infrastructure and strengthen its retail base. Download PDF of TIF map
